Kamrul Ahsan, Convenor

I feel honoured to inform the graduates of Jahangirnagar University living in the UK that we have recently formed the Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association in the United Kingdom (JUAAUK), on February 27, 2011. The aims of this association are to foster friendly contacts and advance the cause of education, research and culture among our members, and also to promote their collective welfare. I hope and believe that the association will help cement mutual understanding and friendship between them and other individuals and groups from different ethnic and cultural background living in the UK . Since its inception the association has been working diligently towards the accomplishments of these professed goals but we need your help.

I am jubilant to state that the newly formed association is holding its first major public event:

June 3, 2011, 11am

The Brady Art Centre,

192-196 Hanbury Street ,

London, E1 5HU .

There will be several distinguished academics and media personalities present at the event, and I hope that all alumni of JUAAUK will be able to join us.

I stand ready and I hope that you are as well. Your active participation and your wholehearted commitment to our mission and vision are needed more than ever!  Working together, we will ensure that JUAAUK continues to be a beacon of hope and opportunity, and will remain as a shining example in the arena of educational, collective welfare.

At this very happy moment I must convey my sincere gratitude to all who have helped us in forming such a prestigious Association, developing its website (which is under construction) and organizing this promising public event within such a short period of time.

Yours sincerely

Mohammad kamrul Ahsan (16th batch)
